 It is a humorous verse of three long and two short lines rhyming aabba. The third and fourth lines are usually shorter than the other three. Limerick is a funny poem of five lines.

Example:

 The limerick`s an art from complex

Whose contents run chiefly to sex;

it`s famous for virgins

And masculine urgin`s

And vulgar erotic effects.
